 Kannawidan is the main festival of the province of Ilocos Sur. This festival is celebrated every second day of February of every year. There are so many activities to participate, like the float parade of every municipality showcasing their one town one product. There is also trade fair and there are also guests coming, like singers, and performer to perform and entertain the Ilocanos.


Kannawidan is celebrated every year to keep the culture alive and to make more memories of the festival. Just like the street dancing showdown, where every town or municipality of Ilocos Sur will show their talents and will compete with the other municipality.


During the festival, the streets come alive with colorful parades, street dances, and cultural performances, featuring traditional music, dance, and attire. Visitors have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the unique customs and practices of the Ilocano people, experiencing firsthand the warmth and hospitality for which the region is known.
